OSHA Training at BMI Supply

All the installers, foremen, and supervisors that comprise BMI Supply's installation group have successfully completed the New York State OSHA 10 Traning. This training, required by New York State for all construction workers, focuses on a broad palette of safety issues and law. The effort is to provide a safer work environment for all workers.

BMI Supply again exhibited at the USITT conference in Houston, Texas March 20th through March 22nd. Even though it's their 15th year of exhibiting the attendees were drawn to the 20' x 20' display to see old and new products on display.

BMI Celebrates with Innovations at LDI

BMI Supply, the theatre supply house and contractor, is celebrating it’s 20th year as a corporation and it’s recent acquisition of TheatricalHardware.Com. The acquisition includes the website, all inventory, and the rights to manufacture, distribute, and sell Theatrical Hardware’s products.

Jason Townley, founder and former CEO of Theatrical Hardware stated, “I’m headed in a different direction now, yet I wanted all of our customers to have access to and continue buying these products. All the pieces provide time savings, strength, and safety. BMI Supply has an excellent reputation and a unique position to continue offering this product line.”

The hardware line features the Leg-a-Matic, a metal piece that allows you to easily and repetitively attach 2x4 legs to platforms. Made of high grade 6061-T6 aluminum, this patent pending hardware is dual purpose. By permanently bolting to the platform it serves to hold the corner and interior frame joints together. Its second function is the ease of mounting the leg within the bracket with no fasteners through the platform, only into the leg and Leg-a-Matic. It creates a permanent pocket for any height 2” x 4” leg.

Also popular are a broad variety of shackle plates and keeper plates. The shackle plates serve as a scenery bottom attachment point that can receive a thimble, shackle, or jawed turnbuckle. The keeper plates hold the lift line (cable) against the top of the scenery.
